A non-profit corporation that provides non-emergency transportation to medical and other important appointments for senior citizens or those in need. Provides referrals to other programs and services for assistance. Manages the Toys for Tots program. Manages a 4-unit HUD house.
Also provides transportation for senior citizens to shop on Saturday mornings in Binghamton or Sidney.

Description

The Deposit Educational Endowment Program is a 501c3 organization, started by the Deposit Rotary and evolved into a volunteer community organization. The main purpose is to generate scholarships for graduates of Deposit Central School, awarded only to those students continuing their education.

Funds are continously invested in an endowment so that dividends and interest earned pay for scholarships. A total accumulated donation of at least $5,000 creates a one year scholarship and a minimum of $10,000 creates a two year scholarship.
